The nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced today, February 2nd. The Last Station received two nominations: Helen Mirren (Best Supporting Actress) and Christopher Plummer (Best Supporting Actor). Congratulations to the two of them. Sadly, no nominations for James this time around. JMO wishes for the best on March 7th.

James McAvoy has confirmed his presence to the next Empire Film Awards 2008.
The event - held in Park Lane, London - differ from bigger ceremonies such as the Oscars and Baftas because voters are the readers of Empire Magazine. McAvoy is nominated for "Best actor" award.
The ceremony will be televised on Monday March 10 on ITV2 at 9pm.

The full list of Oscar Presenters has just been revealed by telecast producer Laura Ziskin and James McAvoy is among them!
He's already in the US and has arrived yesterday for the Fox Searchlight Official Oscar/Spirit Awards Party in Beverly Hills.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 will be presented on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.
